Child support

I am currently pregnant and the father has chose not to participate in my life now and I am assuming he won't have much to do with our child either. When I give birth I am considering leaving his name off of the birth certificate. Will this hurt my chances of getting child support in the future?

Absolutely not. Names have nothing to do with legal liability for child support. DNA is all that matters.
