Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My child support is supposed to be $500 a month or 20% of what my ex-husband earns. He received a substantial settlement after a work related injury. Am I entitled to a portion of that settlement or the interest he earns on it in the child support?

The answer is maybe. Sitting back and doing nothing is not a good idea. A court may well order your ex to pay a portion of the settlement to you as child support.
