Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Child Support?
3 years ago, when i was diverced, in the
divorce papers, the court stated that I
have to pay $165 every to weeks, which
represents 20% of my income. 3 years
have passed, and my ex never took me
back to court to get more child support. I
am making double now than what I was
back 3 years ago. Can she take me to
court for owed child support since I made
more, but the $165 was in the court
order?

Re: Child Support?
Normally no. For good or bad, the court order is the amount you pay until the court revises the order. Now, your ex may claim you lied to her and induced her not to ask for it raised, but it shouldn't work
