Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

child support

my 18 yr old son is a Jr. in high school. I have had full custody for years. His father had 1 son and I had the other so no child support has been paid either way. he has moved in with his father. Can he sue me for child support.

Re: child support

He cannot "sue" you, but he can petition the court for child support. Support is only until the child is 18 or until the child is 19 if still in high school while 18 (as is the case with your son). Once he is 19, no one can ask for support from the other.
