Can a guardian enlightem be assigned at anytime or only during a divorce?

A Guardian Ad Litem or GAL may be appointed ehenever a judge deems it appropriate in a family law proceeding. That could mean during a divorce action, or post divorce. If you believe an appointment is warranted, you would file a Motion in that regard.
