Children home alone
Is it legal to leave your 10 and 7 year old children home alone on a daily basis from 4pm-1am? Is that considered child neglect in anyway? Can the DCFS take the children away in those circumstances?

I would consider it neglect - however, there are no strict guidelines. I would say that leaving them for 15 minutes might be OK but not what you are suggesting.
