Childs best intrest

My ex does not help financially support my children he does not even ask to see them he has not seen them in a little over eight months. So i want to know if there would be ay way to take him to child support and not have visitaion my children do not know him and he is drinking alot more and using more cocaine than before i know because he tends to always start calling all night when he is under the influnce and these calls have started to come in like 3-4 times a week

It is normally in the best interest of the child to see both parents. However, not always. If he is really as bad as it sounds, visitation should probably be restricted. And of course, child support should be enforced no matter what, since support is not related to visitation. Also, make sure to write down the incidents and his actions as they happen so you have a 'log' to show the court.
