Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

we have childs jurisdiction in Texas been in Illinois for over year and half. Joint custody I have 3 other children, is there a chance I can change jurisdiction. He tells me I can't do that.

Having no idea who He is, if father still lives in Texas, Texas would have to cede jurisdiction to Illinois. they may not be willing to do so. Did you get court permission to leave Texas with the kids, or did you leave without court or his consent? If you ran away, for whatever reason, the court may not be willing to cede jurisdiction. Support issues stay in Texas. Illinois has no power to enter a support order against him
