Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have a college age son from my first marriage. He has gone to 3 semesters of college passing 2-3 classes of the of the nine he has enrolled for, and has been on academic probation at least once.\n\nHis mother believes parents should pay for all school costs, with me paying the most. She gets dependant tax credit and college tax credit.\n\nTo date his costs have been covered by his parents (cheaper than going to court) I believe now its time for him to pay. His mother have provided receipts for his next semester (my cost is $900)\n\nShould I say no and go to court. She has not asked for personal expenses, but I believe its coming.

An attorney cannot tell you whether you should go to court, given that I would need to know more information and likely be retained prior to giving legal advice. That being said, the court will look at how the student is doing in college, the parents ability to pay, and other factors.
