confusing situation on name change and paternity

The man who signed the Acknowledgment of Paternity may or may not be the father. I cancelled the acknowledgment. If I change my son's name from this man's name to mine and we do a DNA test and he IS the father, can this man petition to change my son's name back to his?

Of course he can petition, but he needs to show why its in the child's best interest. That will be hard.
