Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Contempt of Court

I filled a Contempt of Court against my ex-husband and there was nothing done. He has not been fined or jailed, so what does Contempt of Court exactly do?

Re: Contempt of Court

You have to have a hearing to prove that he is in contempt. You filed a motion, now you have to have a hearing. If you haven't scheduled one yet, contact the court to schedule the hearing.
