Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Contempt of court

I have a court ordered joint custody agreement (05/31/2006)with visitations assigned on certain days with my daughter that allows my daughter to spend time with me. Weds. And thurs. With every other weekend with me.

My ex wife has prevented this from occuring not allowing me to pick her up. Only when she thinks she wants that to occur, which is rare.

Can someone please help me find a way to redeem my relationship with my 12year old who wants badly to be with me. A court order of protection has been falsely filed against me during my divorce preceedings in 2006 that abruptly riped away from me the person whom i had the pleasure to fathered and see and be at home with everyday.

In short, what one or two or main proof or things i need to do to gain custody of my daughter. If possible , tell me a brief presentation i must make to the judge as i already filed a motion of contempt of court.

What can i say or present to impress the judge in my favor. And what must i not say. I will dress nice and speak respectfully of course, but how do i start in words and how do i end impressively?

Thank you! My hearing is on april 24th 2008 in chicago downtown daley building.

Re: Contempt of court

Hire a lawyer. He knows what to do, you don't.

Your sort of asking how you can learn to be a family lawyer real quick, in time for your hearing. No ethical attorney would explain the legal arguments you should make in this case based on your facts, and not knowing the case. I sincerely wish you luck though.
