counseling and non custodial parent

Do I have to obtain permission or anything from my daughters mother in order to get her into counseling. I would like her into counseling because of the things my daughter has said to me and do not want her mother coaching her if I tell her she is going to counseling.

This question requires that I know who is designated with that power in the custody order/marital settlement agreement. I would need more information.
