Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

court error

My question is the court that gave us the license to marry is the same court that knew he was still married. Do I have any legal recourse there that I can do without an attorney to obtain the annullement? Haven't seen him in years

Yes you need an attorney. The court is not responsible for checking its records everytime someone comes to file a marriage certificate. On the positive side, it should not be that much work to get the annulment. My firm handles matters like that on a flat fee basis, and can do it pretty easily. Email me with the facts of both marriages (dates, location, etc) and I can tell you how much work is involved.
