Did I need to go to court to relocate with my children to another state? I have full custody of them.I currently live in Illinois and want to relocate to New Mexico.

If you obtained custody pursuant to s court order entered in an Illinois case, you are required to obtain a court order allowing you to "remove" the children out of Illinois ion a permanent basis. So, yes, you need to file a Petition to Remove, give the other side notice and obtain a court order.
