Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
Courtroom manners and Lawyer conduct
I would like to know what action I can take against my divorce lawyer for prolonging my divorce, and constantly lying to about what is going on in my case? To close my Case all that is needed is an appraisal of my property, which my lawyer refused to give to the judge after I gave it to my lawyer. If we are in court and I go over his head to give this document to the judge would that be out of place, or is that something I an allowed to do? Please reply. No where else to turn.

Re: Courtroom manners and Lawyer conduct
The first place I would start is by asking your attorney why he refused to give the document to the judge. If the judge issued and order saying that this document needed to be given to the court and if the document meets the requirements then it should have been given to the judge.
If your attorney is not able to provide you with a explanation of his actions then you can fire him and retain a new attorney or represent yourself in the matter.
