Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
What can I do to keep credit card companies at bay while trying to figure out who is responsible for the charges on the credit card during a divorce case? The husband is trying to prove that the wife put charges on behind his back and had the bills sent to a P.O. Box so he wouldn't know about them. She had also opened the account in his name only.

Generally, the credit card companies don't care about divorce-related disputes. If you're concerned about maintaining your good credit, your best bet is to make sure the payments get made, whether by you or the other party. You can work out the reconciliation of the credit card accounting during the divorce proceedings, if necessary.
