Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My custody agreement with my ex states that he is supposed to maintain health insurance on our daughter. She just turned 18 though and he is now threatening to take her off his insurance. She will be attending college in the fall. Can he cut her off because she's 18 or would he have to keep her on the insurance because it's in the custody agreement and she's in school?

If your daughter is going to college, his insurance will likely keep covering her. You'll need a court order to require him to keep her on while she is in college. While you are at it, you should petition the court to have him help pay for her college expenses.
