Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have been in a custody battle since July 2011. The mother suddenly agreed to let me keep the children without a court order Sept 2012 they have been going to school in my district. I am still paying her child support while order is pending (her lawyer showed up to court Dec.11 with no order even though that is what we were in court for) Can child support be suspended until I get the order?
