Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
My ex currently has custody of our daughter. I live in a completely different state so getting back to their state to set up visitation is hard right now. The only reason he has custody is because I was not able to get to court. Now it has been brought to my attention that our daughter may have add, or adhd. Possibly aspergers. My younger son has autism, so it is not unthinkable that she too may have something going on. Well, her father refuses to get her evaluated. The school ,and her previous Dr. have voiced their concerns to him. He switched Dr.s and says the teachers are wrong. He says our daughter is smart so there can't be anything wrong with her. She is having a lot of trouble in school with her behavior. It was expressed to me that she also put a knife to another childs throat. Is there anything I can do to make him have to get her help? or even get her here with me where I can get her the help she may need?
thank you

As the case seems to pending in another state, you need to consult with an attorney in that state. Each state's laws are different. so contact an atty in that state,
