What is the difference between primary physical custody and principal physical custody?

I assume the terms you are asking about are those unsed in Illinois. If so, I can't answer that question. In Texas we have managing conservatorships. One party is named primay - which means that person has the right to establish the child's place of residence. The other is possessory - which means that party has visitation and custody rights as laid out in the Texas Family code - but not the right to establish the child's residence.
