custody of as minor child

the situation is my father is sick and my 7 year old sister lives with him if he was pass on what would happen with my sister

The court would have to determine who would be best suited to have guardianship of the sister (assuming that the mother is not in the picture). You could petition the court for guardianship. If no family member wanted to do that, then the court would place the sister in the state system (not a pleasant choice).
