Custody

I wanted some advice on how i can get custody back of my daughter. The custody took place in Illinois, My daughter lives in Alabama. I am her mother and i live in Missouri?

It is usually the court that originally conducted the original custody hearing that retains jurisdiction. You would have to go back into Illinois court but your ex or you could ask for the action to be transferred to a more convenient forum - you would probably be out of luck anyway - it would probably be IL or the child's domicile. At any rate, you must go back in to court to petition for custody. Then, you must prove that it is in the child's best interests that she/her return to you. You have a battle ahead of you.
