Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Custody

my wife received your response about my son in another state who is 7. We did go to court here in bridgeview, il and have him as a resident here. Would she have to come back here to go to court? since everything was based out of bridgeview?Nothing in court has been changed since the first court. Is she eligible to get child support all year round if we have him three months out of the year? Since in her care he has lived in four residences and been in two different schools and he is only in 2nd grade. Would they take in consideration I his father have been at the same residence for 4 years with no plan of moving? his stepfather is in the navy and they move around and will possible moving again and he is away for periods of time out to sea. I can provide a stable home.

Re: Custody

Your questions is multi-layered. Depending on whether the divorce judgment was registered in another venue/state, you would need to go to the court which had original jurisdiction, which in this case sounds like Bridgeview, Illinois. As to the rest of your question, please clarify and I will be more then willing to help if I can. You can email me at [email protected]
