i have a daugher with my exboyfriend she is 8, he does not see her often, i would like to revoke all and any rights he may have

Too late for that. Our Constitution grants BOTH parents certain rights to the child, and unless you are able to establish that he is unfit, or for some reason would hurt the child (unusual in most cases). Even if the dad is not the best, or does not see the kid often, he still is the father. Not to sound harsh, but I have told clients that they when they chose to have unprotected sex with people, children can result. And he has as much right as you do to seeing the child.
