Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My daughter is curently insured under my ex-husband's work insurance plan. She is a Freshman in college (18 yrs old), and we are splitting her college costs. Is this health insurance considered part of the college costs. My ex-husband is requesting that I pay him 1/2 his insurance amount. We were divorced last April and this insurance was not mentioned in the documents.

It should not have been omitted - if he was paying child support, the law requires him to maintain health insurance for the child. Depending on the cost of the health insurance, it may not be unreasonable, however.
