Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My daughter flies back frequently to see her dad in MN, we moved to IL 2 yrs ago, due to a great job I couldn't pass up. She was born out of wedlock and we only have a court order for child support. Just recentley he has been saying some odd things and I would like to know can he choose to just keep her and not return her when he has her there? Do I need some legal document saying I have custody?

Yes, to be safe, not sorry. He could keep her and will have o spend much money in resolving the issues. File something in IL immediately.
