Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I have a daughter who is 8 years old. She has always been on her Father's Medical Insurance through his work. His work is disputing the claims indicating that he is not "legally" her Father since there is nothing set up in the court system. He hired a lawyer. Everything will be taken care of in court, even child support. My question is, since he was not "legally" her Father prior to this, can I take him to court and get back child support?

If he was taking care of her prior to this, no. Even if he was not it would be difficult. Depends on the facts. He has a lawyer so you should too.
