If a vehicle title is used to get a title loan and the vehicles owners are a mother & daughter, can a spouse who is seperated from the spouse be held liable for the loan?

Re: Debt liability

If the mother and daughter both signed for the loan (I am assuming the mother co-signed for her daughter) then they can both be held liable.

The spouse of either the mother or the daughter is not directly liable because he did not sign the loan.

If it is the spouse's car that was collateral for the loan, the spouse can lose the car, but that is because the car was collateral and has nothing to do with the spouse's personal liability.

I'm having some difficulty understanding the facts as you describe them, but feel free to give us a call if you want to talk about the details.
