Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Please define and shed light on as to why a filing for a "Petition for Allowance of Fees" would be filed during a divorce process and if the Plantiff has yet again changed lawyers ( this being her 4th), do I have to wait to file "Rule to Show Cause" if they are in contempt on multiple counts of a filed and approved Temporary Order until the either report thier new representation or inform the court that they are "pro se". Can this kind of lawyer bouncing and manipulation of the court system be used to request the judge to finalize the divorce as it has been draggin on for more then a year and we have agreed twice in mediation to an agreement which she contiunes to go back on.

Thank you for you guidance and safe holiday's!

n a divorce case, one side can be ordered to contribute to the attorneys fees of the other side. You can file a Petition for Rule to Show Cause at any time during this process. You can continue to request a trial date, arguing the lawyer switching is not a basis to avoid a trial date.
