What is difference between full custody and joint/primary ?

Full custody means that the parent with full custody gets to make determinations for the child, such as doctors the child will see, the religion the child is raised, the school the child attends, and a parent with full custody is also the residential parent, where the child resides most, if not all of the time. Joint custody essentially means the parents share in the above decisions, and the child may switch off residing with both parents. Full custody is granted to a parent when it is in the best interest of the child.
