during the discovery process of a divorce, how many items can i request from the other side?

As many as you need provided that the items requested are relevant to the issues. Your requests cannot be unduly burdensome or create unnecessary expenses for the other side.

Every county may have local rules regarding discovery limitations but the Supreme Court does not limit the no. of requests for production.
