Divorce and child support

iam filling for divorce i would like to know how am i going to collect child support from my husband, lately he has been injured in an accident and hes permanantly disabled . not to mention hes applying for social security disability at this time.. we have 3 kids 2gether.

Hello. When you file for divorce there is a

stage in the proceedings when the judge will

award you temporary child support, after granting

you custody. When the case is final then the

temporary child support order is considered a

permanent child support order which can be changed as your children grow older and need more. However, your husband's disability could

be a problem for you. I am unsure of your work

status, but since he is disabled there is the

possibility that he might ask for maintenance

from you. Of course your financial situation

is a big factor in what a court may do. I will
