Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My divorce has been final for 7 months. In our papers, it stated that we would divide our marital assets and belongings between us, nothing specific. I waived my rights to try to get 401k and pension in the future. Our children are 19 and 20 and in college. I left house and did not take any furniture, and asked if it was okay to leave some of my stuff there until I was settled and then I would come and get it. It was agreed between us verbally. Within 2 weeks he locked me out completely, I have endured 6 months of abusive emails, phone calls and texts, I now have an order of protection, and he refuses to pay for anything pertaining to the kids. Do I have any recourse to get anything from the marital house? He even hid the baby pictures from the kids so I couldn't have them.

This is the third question I received today regarding oral agreements. They are worth the paper they are not written on. That people who dislike each other and don't want to be together anymore turn around and trust each other with money, possessions, children, etc never ceases to amaze me.

As to the specifics of your question, your MSA probably says whats in each person's possession is theirs. I doubt you have any recourse at this time, but I would have to see your MSA to know.
