Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My divorce was final three years ago, yet we are back in court arguing about money because the MSA was so vague. I am representing myself and my ex-husband has re-retained his lawyer, who is wildly unethical. I got documents from him demanding that I turn over many, many financial documents at my deposition that took place last week. I, in turn, demanded documents from him which, he assured me, would be honored within 28 days of his receiving my request. The documents were due to me two days ago. I called him yesterday and he told me that he has no idea where anything is, he has been out of town, but he would call my ex to find out. He ended up hanging up on me. He is refusing to have any more verbal conversations with me and has refused to accept faxes from me. How should I proceed? Should I enter an emergency motion for the blatant refusal to follow protocol? He has had many suspensions and sanctions for unethical behavior and is about to be brought in front of the IARDC again for practicing without a license.

Hi. First of all, if he's currently practicing without a license, you can take that information to the judge and/or the IARDC and he will be done. If he has a license, you can file a motion to compel and be very detailed about the lack of cooperation. Then, at the hearing, you can explain this to the judge, and I'm sure you will get the judge's attention.
