Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

in my divorce, my husband has not answered my requests for information. what can i do to make him answer? The judge has told me that if i don't participate that i will be held in default. Am i missing something? i have been participating so far. None of the 2 lawyers that i've hired have taken any initiative on anything so i'm doing it myself.

If you currently have a lawyer, you can not do it yourself. Discovery is a two way street. You have to answer what they have asked and produce what they request, as you have the4 right to demand from them. If they are not answering, you have to discuss the problem with the opposing counsel (that's called a 201k conference, and then you can file a motion seeking an order compelling them to answer.
