Me and my husband bought a car last june before we got married. we were ingaged at the time for 2and a half years been living to gether for over 3 yrs. we chose not for me to be on the loan because of my past credit. He told me the car was mine just make the payments. I put money in his account and the payment came out of his account. from the money i put in. I am lookming to divorce and need to know what my options are on how to keep the car. He doesn't have a license due to dui's and still drinks. I have 3500 to 4000 invested in the car not including up keep, but have nothing in my name to prove i did. Just recently opened my own account and I am sending out my first payment through my account. please help. This is the only thing I want out of this god awful marriage besides my personal belongings, computer clothing,

Your situation is not uncommon. If you do not already have an attorney, you need to hire one. The attorney can advise you concerning what you are legally entitled to out of this marriage after the attorney knows all of the facts. Good luck.
