divorce to an inmate

Can i force a divoece on an inmate? We have no children and no belongings and how long does it take if i already have an order of protection? How much does it cost to do it myself?

Yes you can divorce an inmate. In Cook County the filing fee is 319 plus the fee to serve the other person. If you already know how to do the paperwork, serve him, and appear in court then there are no other costs. Our firm, as well as others I'm sure, handle such "simple" divorces for a flat fee.
