Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

In my Divorce Judgement I was awarded a percentage of my husband's 401(k) and my husband's lawyer entered a QDRO, but I was not present in court. How do get a copy of the QDRO? Do I need a lawyer to get the funds rolled over to my Rollover IRA account?

The lawyer who entered the order should have sent you a copy of the order. You do not need an atty to get the funds rolled over, depending the the plan administrator's position. You need to either get a copy of the order from the atty or contact the Clerk of Court and find out how much to send them to pay for a certified You then send that copy to the plan administrator (by certified mail(. You may have to set up a Rollover IRA account to accept the funds.
