Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am going through a divorce and live in the home that my husband and I bought together when we married. I have recently lost my job and would like to know if I am entitled to restitution from my husband who is paying nothing. He is working full time and stop making payments about five months ago.

A motion for support can only be retroactive to the date it is filed. So I do not believe you can obtain back restitution. A court may, however, order him to bring the mortgage current, biut you have to file a motion seeking that relief.
