Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

help getting a divorce

I have been separated from my spouse for 2 and a half years. I have filled out the divorce papers and given them to him to review and sign. He refuses to sign them. He says he wants the divorce to but will not sign. We do have 3 children. What are my rights without an attorney. i can not afford an attorney and the legal aide office in my area can not help me since one of his ex girlfriends used them for child support against him. They say their is a conflict of interest. I don't know what to do.

Re: help getting a divorce

You say you cannot afford an attorney but you need an attorney. I don't know what to do either.

Our firm handles simple divorces for a low flat fee, but if you cannot pay anything, then I recommend waiting until you can afford to get the divorce.
