Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Divorce with one signature

I am not sure where to begin. I am married but have not lived with my spouse for more than 3 years. She lives in North Carolina and I live in Illinois. I do not have a phone number or address to send any documents to as she will not give me one. We have one child and I am paying child support. I would like to know how I can get the divorce without her signature. Thank you.

Re: Divorce with one signature

You do not need her signature. I handle divorces all the time where the other party does not sign. All you have to do is get service, my firm uses a P.I. to handle that. Then your spouse either answers the Petition she was served with or not. If she does not, then in 30 days you get a default divorce. If you would like to discuss the options and how much it would cost to complete such a divorce, feel free to contact me for more information.
