Divorce

My wife left me last February. She took all her things with her. I would like to know if I can get a divorce for disertion and what is involved. Do I have to split anything.

You can file for a divorce , however, whether things need to be split up depends on how your wife reacts to the divorce petition. If she does not show up then the court has you do a prove up to justify what you are asking for and then enters the dissolution of marriage. If she does appear then things somewhat depend on her. Anything acquired during the marriage is considered marital property and may be split. One of you may also be entitled to spousal support and/or child support. There are many issues and your cleanest bet is to hire an attorney.
