Divorce

Two years before I got married I owed a 2 flat building, which I still have. Am I required to sale and split the profits with my husband? We purchased a house during the 5 year marriage, what happens with it?

The question is whether the 2 flat is considered marital property - which is a good topic for lawyers to argue about in divorce court. In any event, the judge will determine what the best way to deal with all of the various property owned by you and your husband. With two pieces of real estate involved, it would not be a bad idea to hire an attorney.
