Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I was divorced in November 2009. My ex-husband and I have joint custody of our 14 year old daughter, but I am the custodial parent. I am considering moving to FL to help with my aging parents. Currently, my ex-husband is not totally supportive of this move. First, can he keep me from moving? Second, if he turns around and agrees to my moving with my daughter, but I happen to secure a job prior to the close of the current school year, do I need to have some type of document stating that he will release her to me on a specific date if I move ahead of her and allow her to finish out the school year?

First, you need permission from the court to leave the state. Second, NEVER just give your child to somone else. They can later argue you meant to permanently give the child up.
