Divorced and wanting to move out of state
I have beemn divorced for almost two years now and me and my new husband are wanting to relocate to Alabama, but I have 3 children from my previous marriage. Do I need an attorney to represent me in filling for this or can I file it on my own? I have kept track of all visitation since the divorce and to be honest it is not good 14 times in 2 years. We are not looking to move till July and I have already did the sending a letter and he called the copd on me so that is not an option.

Technically, you can represent yourself in any aspect of family law. But when you look at time spent, frustration, and the possibility that you may not do a good job explaining your position in the context of applicable law, usually its a good idea to get an attorney. If the ex-spouse is getting an attorney, you REALLY need your own attorney, as you will almost certainly get outmaneuvered. And you are not risking something small, your talking about whether you can move to a different state with your children.
Also, I recommend having a good reason to move (i.e. a good job, or something that makes the move seam reasonable).
