Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois
I have been divorced now for 13 years. My ex husband refuses to pay his half of my children's medical bill no matter what I do. I can't afford to yet another attorney since he has never done what is in our agreed settlement. I am also overdue for an increase in child support since he has been making a lot more money than he was 6 years ago when the agreement was made. How do I do this when I am now unemployed and have no money for an attorney. Shouldn't he have to pay intereste on the money for bills too? I had to take out loans and use my credit cards to pay them, and I am still paying on them. How can I do something about this without money? I have $15 dollars to my name and he owes me over $10,000 in medical. In addition, I get collection notices for him in the mail and they will not stop. I am not his wife, how can I stop this?
