Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

i have been divorced for 12 years and within that time no child support has been exchanged...we have had joint custody of the kids ages 15 and 18 now.. the orginal papers stated that i was to pay support and we verbally agreed to go 50/50 i proveded for them there basic needs such as housing food etc...he has done more for extras such as sports,clothing etc...he makes alot more money than i do and i have always done the best i could..now 12 years later i just received a statement of wage garnishment...i barely live paycheck to paycheck as it is..do i have any rights?

If this garnishment was from Maxim or the Dept of Public Aid, you need to follow their administrative appeal process. If the result of a court case which didn't know anything about, you need to talk to a lawyer who can represent you.
