Domestic Battery

What are the legal proceeding for an accused abuser in a domestic battery charge if a) the victim did not file a complaint or call the police; b) didn't ever want the accused victim arrested; and c) does not wish to press charges against the accused abuser? How can this case be dropped?

Hello. Whether to prosecute a case is up to

the prosecutor's office by law. The prosecutor

does not have to drop the case if he/she feels

that the public interest will best be served

by seeking a conviction against the accused. The

best bet is for the accused to have an attorney.
