Emancipation of an adult child

Can a parent emancipate a 19 year old child, parents are divorced, who has dropped out of college and gone to jail on a probation violation? No judgement on college support had previously been made. Child is currently out of jail but could possibly go back once she has gone to court.

Re: Emancipation of an adult child

You don't have to pay child support after 18th birthday if child not in college. You have to go to court to have order entered. Please call for free consultation.
